National parks that accept the America the Beautiful pass

474 sites 474 confirmed 56 states & territories

The America the Beautiful — National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass covers the entrance fee at every National Park Service site that charges one. If a park has an entrance station, your pass gets the pass holder plus everyone in one non-commercial vehicle (or the holder plus up to three adults where per-person fees apply; under-16s are always free).

It does not cover camping, tours, shuttles, or other concessionaire fees, and a handful of parks use timed-entry reservations you may still need on top of the pass. Below is every national park and NPS site in our database, grouped by state — each links to a page telling you exactly how the pass applies there and when we last checked.

Common questions

Does the America the Beautiful pass cover national park entrance fees?

Yes. At any National Park Service site that charges an entrance fee, the pass covers it for the pass holder and everyone in one non-commercial vehicle (or the holder + 3 adults where per-person fees apply). Under-16s are free.

Do all national parks charge an entrance fee?

No — many NPS sites are free to enter, so you won’t need the pass at those. The pass matters at the parks that do charge, and it covers those fees.

Does the pass cover camping or tours in national parks?

No. The pass only covers entrance and standard amenity (day-use) fees. Camping, tours, shuttles, and other concessionaire fees are separate.

Do I still need a timed-entry reservation with the pass?

Sometimes. A few busy parks require a timed-entry or vehicle reservation during peak season in addition to the pass. Check the specific park page before you go.
